HC Deb 30 March 1914 vol 60 c800
7. Mr. STANIER

asked the President of the Board of Agriculture whether the Board has declined to make to the agricultural section of Leeds University any Grant for investigating the injury done by the smoke nuisance to crops; and, in view of the importance of the investigation, whether it will be carried out by any other body?

The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of AGRICULTURE (Mr. Runciman)

Grants have been made to Leeds University for three years in aid of the investigation to which the hon.
