HC Deb 30 March 1914 vol 60 c830
47. Mr. W. THORNE

asked the Prime Minister if he is aware that the Irish Trades Union Congress, held in Dublin on Tuesday, 24th March, which represented the vast majority of organised workers from all parts of Ireland, passed a resolution protesting against Ulster being excluded from the Government of Ireland Bill, and demanding that no Home Rule Bill should be passed which leaves out any portion of Ireland; and if he will give an assurance that this demand will be complied with?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Asquith)

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As regards the latter part, I have nothing to add to or to take away from what I have recently said in the House on this subject.
