Gentleman is aware that a copy of a document called the "Ulster Covenant" was, on or about 12th March, posted up at the counter of the post office, Upper Hale, Surrey, for the purpose of obtaining signatures; and that complaint was made to the postmaster of Farnham on the 13th March, with the result that the document, instead of being removed altogether, was merely removed to a less prominent position in the shop, namely, to another counter where fancy goods are displayed; and what action he proposes to take in the matter?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe document in question should not have been exhibited by the sub-postmaster, and I understand that it has now been removed altogether. I am obliged to the hon. Member for drawing my attention to the matter.
