Mr. KINGasked the Prime Minister whether he is aware that the proposal to limit the length of speeches in this House continues to gain favour with high authorities; and whether, with a view to making an experimental test, he will support the proposal to limit the length of speeches during the remaining days of Supply and on the Indian Budget this Session?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI understand that this matter is being considered by the Committee on Procedure, and I think it would be well to await their Report before taking any action even of an experimental nature with regard to it.
