§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe terms quoted have now been accepted, and instructions have been given that the circuit is to be provided not later than the date mentioned.
§ 73. Mr. ESSLEMONTasked the Postmaster-General if he can state the number of telephone subscribers in Aberdeen who are tenants or feuars of the Harbour Commissioners; and the gross annual sum paid by these subscribers for telephone service?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSEThe number of telephone subscribers in Aberdeen who are tenants or feuars of the Harbour Commissioners is 165, and the gross annual sum paid by these subscribers for telephone service is £2,870.
§ Mr. ESSLEMONTIs it the case that the Postmaster-General has lately threatened to withdraw the service from those subscribers in consequence of a dispute, they had with the Harbour Commissioners in regard to rent?
§ Mr. HOBHOUSENo; I have no information to that effect.
