§ 8. Mr. FELLasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if the Government has made any loan or advance to the State or kingdom of Albania or is under any financial obligation to make any such loan?
§ Sir E. GREYAn advance of £5,000 was made by His Majesty's Government last December towards the relief of distress in Albania, as was stated in the House on the 19th February, but this was not strictly speaking an advance to the Government of Albania, as it was not under their control. The question of an international loan is under consideration, but His Majesty's Government are under no obligation to contribute anything to it.
