Mr. HAYES FISHERasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in the proposed alteration of the law with regard to rating, the Government intend to interfere with the preparation of the Quinquennial Valuation List, 1915, now carried out under the provisions of the Valuation (Metropolis) Act, 1869; and whether the Metropolitan borough councils, acting as overseers of the poor, are justified in proceeding with their arrangements in connection with this valuation as in recent years?
