Mr. BARNESasked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he has received a complaint that in the Fairfield Shipyard cork-dusting on two torpedo-destroyers is being done by unskilled labour; whether he is aware that this work is done by 'skilled labour in the other yards in the Clyde area, and up till recently also in the Fairfield Yard; and whether he will have inquiries made into the matter without delay and prevent any encroachments on existing recognised conditions in accordance with the terms of the Fair-Wages Clause?
