HC Deb 24 February 1914 vol 58 cc1585-6
49. Mr. WILKIE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he has received any requests from the Scottish Post Office (including Dundee) as to the abolition of the separate standard of classification for Scotland, whereby a number of offices were placed on a lower scale than they should have been; and when does he intend to put the decision of the Holt Committee in this respect into operation, and thereby remove one of the grievances of Scotland?

Captain NORTON

The question of adjusting the classification of Scottish offices for the scales of pay of indoor force in accordance with the Holt Committee's recommendation is under consideration, and I hope that it may be possible to make an announcement on the subject shortly.
