§ 49. Mr. WILKIEasked the Postmaster-General whether he has received any requests from the Scottish Post Office (including Dundee) as to the abolition of the separate standard of classification for Scotland, whereby a number of offices were placed on a lower scale than they should have been; and when does he intend to put the decision of the Holt Committee in this respect into operation, and thereby remove one of the grievances of Scotland?
§ Captain NORTONThe question of adjusting the classification of Scottish offices for the scales of pay of indoor force in accordance with the Holt Committee's recommendation is under consideration, and I hope that it may be possible to make an announcement on the subject shortly.
