§ Mr. HERBERT LEWISTwelve co-operative cerdit societies have obtained advances from joint stock banks, and two other societies have been promised advances, but the negotiations are not yet completed. In addition, five societies have obtained advances from the Central Agricultural Co-operative Bank. The total number of credit societies in England and Wales is forty-six.
