HC Deb 19 February 1914 vol 58 cc1132-3
56. Mr. F. HALL

asked the Prime Minister if he is aware of the fact that, before the Report of the Marconi Contracts Committee was made., certain members of that Committee were privately informed of the course proposed to be adopted in the House by the Ministers implicated; and if this information was shared by him?

The PRIME MINISTER

The answer to both parts of the question is in the negative.

Mr. F. HALL

May I ask the right hon. Gentleman whether he is aware that the hon. Member for Halifax (Mr. James Parker) stated that before he agreed to the report he was informed that apologies would be tendered by both Ministers to this House?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir.

Mr. F. HALL

If I bring that to the notice of the right hon. Gentleman, will he give it further consideration?

The PRIME MINISTER

No, Sir, there is nothing further to consider.
