§ 56. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSONasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that insurance committees in thinly-populated districts in Scotland are finding difficulty in doing their work on the funds they have available for administration; and, if so, what the Government propose to do in the matter?
Mr. BENNThe matter is under consideration. I may point out that as respects the period to 14th January, 1914, a sum of £22,650 has been provided by Parliament for the purpose of making Grants to insurance committees generally whose statutory income for that period was insufficient.
