HC Deb 17 February 1914 vol 58 c749
15. Captain CRAIG

asked the Secretary of State for War whether the military authorities have removed the horses which were grazing on an evicted farm near Portarlington, King's County, as a consequence of a cattle and horse drive on 18th December last?

The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Colonel Seely)

It appears that some Army horses were, on the night of the 15th December last, let out from a grazing on the Ashtown estate which the officer commanding 16th Lancers had hired a few days previously The officer commanding decided to obtain grazing elsewhere, and removed the horses.
