Mr. BENNThe number of voluntary contributors in the United Kingdom at the latest date for which figures are available was 21,165. This number does not include persons who have taken advantage of Section 2 (2) of the National Insurance Act, 1913, since many approved societies have not yet, forwarded to the Commissioners all their contribution cards for the quarter ending on the 12th October, 1913.
