Member for St. George's-in-the-East, as representing the Insurance Commissioners, whether in the case of Reservists who have been called up and Territorials who have been embodied, but who previously were not employed contributors, 1½d. per week will be deducted from their Army pay as insurance contribution?
§ Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)All Reservists called up for service with the Colours will be insured, and their contributions, at the rate of 1½d. a week, will be deducted from their pay. As regards men in the Territorial Force, the Insurance Commissioners are in communication with the military authorities, and an announcement will be made at the earliest possible moment.
