§ Mr. TENNANTI understand the hon. Member to refer to apprentices in the naval establishments. My right hon. Friend the Secretary to the Admiralty informed him on the 27th instant that their period of military service will be allowed to count as part of their apprenticeship. As regards their transfer to the Army Ordnance Corps, I would add that no officers or men are being transferred from the Territorial Force to the Regular Forces, and that in any case the completion of a full apprenticeship is a necessary qualification for admission to the Armament Artificer Section of the Army Ordnance Corps.
