HC Deb 25 August 1914 vol 66 c23

Order for Second Reading read.

The CHIEF SECRETARY for IRELAND (Mr. Birrell)

I beg to move, "That the Bill be read a second time."

This is a Bill which I obtained leave to introduce at the end of our last Sitting. Its object is to extend the Housing (No. 2) Act of 1914, which omitted Ireland. There was no reason whatever why Ireland should be omitted from that Act, and this Bill simply rectifies the omission.

Question put, and agreed to.

Ordered, That the Bill be committed to a Committee of the Whole House for Tomorrow.
