HC Deb 25 August 1914 vol 66 c27
The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Runciman)

I beg to move, "That leave be given to introduce a Bill to extend and amend Section Eight of the Customs and Inland Revenue Act, 1879."

This is a small Bill of three Clauses, which proposes that in addition to the articles prohibited to be exported under the Inland Revenue Act of 1879, other articles may also be prohibited for export. It is proposed that the Privy Council should be able to make alterations in the Proclamations under that Act without requiring the signature of the King. That is in order that there may be as little formality as possible.

Bill ordered to be brought in by Mr. Runciman, Mr. Montagu, and Mr. Robertson. Presented accordingly and read the first time; to be read a second time Tomorrow and to be printed. [Bill 384.]
