§ Mr. BIRRELLWith a view of maintaining employment during the war, the Development Commissioners have decided to 7 make available for this purpose the whole of their funds still unallocated. If it should appear that there is distress and unemployment in the neighbourhood of Courtown and the repair of the harbour was recommended as a means of giving work and application made by the Local Distress Committee for a grant, the case would be most carefully considered along with others.
