§ 7. Mr. BARNESasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if his attention has been called to a meeting of the workers of Messrs. Nobels' dynamite works, Ardeer, and to a resolution passed protesting against the finding of His Majesty's Chief Inspector of Explosives casting the blame for the loss of life occasioned by the recent explosion; and will he say if these workers had had full opportunity of putting their view of the case?
§ Mr. McKENNAI have heard nothing of any such meeting or resolution, and I may point out to my hon. Friend that the Report of the Inquiry does not attach blame for the accident or the resulting loss of life to the workmen employed. The Chief Inspector informs me that at the inquiry all the workmen who seemed likely to be able to throw light on the matter were examined.
