HC Deb 30 April 1914 vol 61 c1856
54. Mr. HIGHAM

asked the President of the Local Government Board how many coroners there are in England and Wales; and how many of these are paid by way of fee for each inquest held by them?

Mr. McKENNA

My right hon. Friend has asked me to reply to this question. There are in all 366 coroners, of whom eighty-two are paid by fees.
