Major HOPEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he proposes to pay to Scottish reformatories and industrial schools the increased Grants, amounting to an average of 6d. per young person or child per week, which are to be paid to reformatories and industrial schools in England and Wales from 1st April, 1914, as intimated in Home Office letter of 24th January, 1914?

Major HOPECan the right hon. Gentleman assure me that when the Grant is made it will be as from the 1st April, 1914, the same as English schools are getting Grants for that date?
