HC Deb 27 April 1914 vol 61 c1308
7. Mr. KEIR HARDIE

asked whether, having regard to the beneficial results of the visit of His Majesty the King to Paris, the Cabinet has considered, or has in con templation, the advisability of advising His Majesty to pay a similar visit to Berlin, with a view to strengthening the growing feeling of friendship between the British and German peoples?

Mr. ACLAND

I would remind the hon. Member that His Majesty did pay a visit to Berlin last year, and I understand that it will not be possible for him to pay any more State visits to foreign countries this year.
