HC Deb 21 April 1914 vol 61 c761
43. Mr. BOWERMAN

asked the Home Secretary if he can now state the result of his inquiries into the case of Richard Williams, taxi-cab driver, who was arrested for being drunk and, although certified to be drunk by the divisional surgeon, was discharged by the magistrate?

Mr. McKENNA

I have made further inquiry in this case and I am satisfied that there was no want of care on the part of the divisional surgeon.
