HC Deb 20 April 1914 vol 61 c577
59. Mr. DOUGLAS HALL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for War why it is that repairs to aeroplanes in the Aircraft Factory are not logged as is done in squadron repair shops?

The UNDER-SECRETARY for WAR (Mr. Harold Baker)

The present practice is to enter the repairs carried out to an aeroplane direct into the log-book. If in any exceptional case the log-book does not reach the factory at the same time as the aeroplane, a record is kept separately and entered when the log-book becomes available.
