HC Deb 14 April 1914 vol 61 c18
33. Mr. C. BATHURST

asked the President of the Local Government Board if he realises that in two previous Sessions the Milk and Dairies Bill, prepared by his Department, failed to be carried into law owing to its introduction at a late period of the Session; and, if so, whether he proposes to introduce his Bill with the same object at an earlier date in order that it may become an Act of Parliament in the course of the present Session; and whether he can now state the day when the Second Reading of the Bill will be considered by this House?

Mr. HERBERT SAMUEL

I hope to be able to introduce the Bill shortly. I cannot suggest a day for the Second Reading.
