HC Deb 14 April 1914 vol 61 c23
Sir HENRY DALZIEL

I beg to ask the President of the Board of Trade a question, of which I have given him private notice: Whether he has received an official report of the unfortunate accident to the Scotch Express this morning?

The PRESIDENT Of the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Burns)

I regret to state there was an unfortunate railway accident this morning at Burntisland. Major Pringle has been appointed to hold an inquiry on the scene of the accident on Thursday morning next. There are no particulars other than those which appear in the evening papers.

Mr. ROBERT HARCOURT

Has the right hon. Gentleman any official particulars as to names?

Mr. BURNS

The fireman was originally reported as Robert Young. It should be William McDonald.
