HC Deb 06 April 1914 vol 60 c1598
32. Sir JOHN SPEAR

asked the Home Secretary if he is aware of the insufficiency of housing accommodation for the officers engaged in His Majesty's prison, Prince-town, Devon; and what steps he proposes to take to remedy this grievance?

Mr. McKENNA

Large numbers of convicts have been for years engaged in building house accommodation for the officers at Dartmoor Prison who are entitled to quarters. The deficiency is now a small one, and the operations are still in progress and will be continued.
