HC Deb 02 April 1914 vol 60 cc1366-7
Mr. PONSONBY

I beg to ask the Home Secretary a question of which I have given private notice, namely: Whether he is aware that in connection with the Unionist demonstration which takes place in Hyde Park on Saturday, 4th April, an officer of the National Reserve has circularised the members of that corps, inviting them to attend the demonstration wearing their medals and badges, and stating that they will be as far as possible brigaded together; and whether he is aware that members of the Territorial Force in North Islington have been asked to march to Hyde Park in uniform in return for a payment of 1s. 6d. each? If he is not in a position to give the information, will he make inquiries?

Mr. McKENNA

I have no information at present, but I will make inquiries into the matter.
