HC Deb 06 May 1913 vol 52 c1843
38. Mr. WHITEHOUSE

asked the right hon. Gentleman if he has received a memorial from the school board of Ruther-glen regarding the Grant for medical treatment in elementary schools; and whether he can hold out any hope of the Board being enabled adequately to attend to the wants of necessitous children?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

No memorial on the subject from the School Board of Rutherglen appears to have reached me. Last week I introduced a Bill, the effect of which would be to enable a school board to supplement from the rates to such extent as they think necessary the existing Treasury Grant for medical treatment in the case of necessitous children.
