§ 24. Mr. THOMASasked whether a notice has been issued from the yard-master's office, Newcastle Forth Station, North-Eastern Railway, asking workmen to give the name of the society which they have made their approved society under the National Insurance Act; and, having regard to the fact that this is contrary to the spirit and intention of the Act, will he have the necessary steps taken to have the practice discontinued?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI have no information on the subject, but if my hon. Friend desires I will make inquiries. I would refer him to the answer which I gave him to a similar question on the 11th February. It may be that, as I suggested in connection with that question, the company desires to send notice of an agreement for compensation to the society in accordance with Section 11 (1) (c) of the Act.
