§ The POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Herbert Samuel)The Fair-Wages Clause is a condition of all Post Office contracts, and any wilful non-observance of this condition results in the name of the offending firm being removed from the Post Office list. As a general rule, however, the representations made to a firm whose wages conditions appear to be below the proper standard lead to satisfactory results.
