Sir JOHN JARDINEasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he will inquire into the circumstances under which Mr. John Herdman, of Clifton, Yetholm, in the county of Roxburgh, employed by Mr. Roberton, farmer, of Kirk Yetholm Mains, to kill rabbits at 6d. per couple has been held disqualified for insurance under the National Insurance Act?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI am informed by the Scottish Commissioners that they have decided under Section 66 of the National Insurance Act that Mr. Herdman is not employed by Mr. Roberton under contract of service within the meaning of the Act. If either party feels aggrieved by the decision he has a right of appeal to the Sheriff Court.
