§ The PRESIDENT of the BOARD of TRADE (Mr. Buxton)The final dividend in the liquidation of the Birkbeck Bank has not yet been declared, as it depends on the result of certain legal proceedings which are now pending a decision of the House of Lords. The number of depositors affected by the failure of the bank is 73,000, but the total sum lost cannot yet be ascertained.
