Mr. MacCALLUM SCOTTasked the Secretary to the Treasury if the arbitration in a somewhat similar case to certain maintenance contracts made by the Board of Works with contractors in Glasgow has yet been concluded; and if he can now say whether the Treasury has considered the effect of the National Insurance Act upon such contracts and the question of sanctioning such variation of the terms of the contract as the equities of the case may demand?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI fear I cannot at present add anything to the answer which I gave to my hon. Friend on the 1st April last. The arbitration is not yet concluded.
