§ 46. Mr. DOUGLAS HALLasked the Prime Minister whether he will give an assurance that, pending the presentation of the Report of the Royal Commission on the Civil Service, the Government will remove no further posts, situations or appointments in the Civil Service from the list of offices in respect of which a Civil service competitive examination is a necessary qualification to the list of those offices which are filled up on the nomination of a Minister of the Crown?
