HC Deb 23 June 1913 vol 54 cc782-3
15. Mr. BRIDGEMAN

asked what is the cause of the delay in the publication of the Report. for 1912–13 of the Road Board; and if it is intended to publish it in time for discussion during this Session?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I do not think there has been any unusual delay. Last year's Report was presented on 1st August. The Report cannot, of course, be written until the financial year is ended, and it contains accounts for that year which have to be first made un and then audited. I understand that it is now under consideration, and it will be presented as soon as possible. I certainly hope before the end of the Session.

16. Mr. BRIDGEMAN

asked what are the sums actually received by the Road Board since its formation; what amount has actually been paid out in salaries, grants, and loans, respectively; what sums have been definitely promised; and what balance remains in hand at the bank and invested?

Mr. MASTERMAN

With the hon. Member's permission I will circulate a statement giving the figures he desires.— [See Written Answers this date.]

Mr. BRIDGEMAN

May I ask whether those figures will be up to date?

Mr. MASTERMAN

I have got the figures here, and I can hand them over to the hon. Gentleman now. It is a long list. They are up to 31st December, 1913.
