HC Deb 23 June 1913 vol 54 c769
4. Sir J. D. REES

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can report any further progress in the matter of claiming a right for British-Indian ships to participate in the Japanese coasting trade or retaliating by excluding Japanese shipping from the like trade of British-India?

Mr. ACLAND

The matter is still under-consideration, and I am not in a position to make any statement at present.
