HC Deb 17 June 1913 vol 54 c198
28. Mr. JAMES HOGGE

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether the local public authorities in Scotland are subject to the Public Health Acts, whereby they are responsible for the supervision, management, and isolation of infectious diseases; whether this applies to tuberculosis in so far as it is an infectious disease; and, if so, whether they are responsible for such cases whether they are insured persons or not?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

The general responsibilities of the local authorities under the Public Health (Scotland) Acts regarding the treatment of infectious disease extend to tuberculosis in so far as it is an infectious disease whether the cases are those of insured persons or not.
