40. Mr. F. HALLasked the President of the Board of Trade if he is aware that, under the existing law, persons residing in British Colonies are precluded from investing in limited companies in this country unless they are able to furnish an address in the United Kingdom or Ireland; and, if so, whether, in order to encourage the investment of Colonial capital in English securities, he will consider as to an amendment of the present law in this respect?
Mr. ROBERTSONI am not aware of any such provision in the existing law relating to companies registered in the United Kingdom.
