HC Deb 10 June 1913 vol 53 c1419
33. Mr. FREDERICK WHYTE

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether he can give the reasons for the revival of the post of clerk in Scottish prisons; and whether he can state the essential differences between English and Scottish prison administration which make it impossible for him to place Scottish store warders in at least as favourable a position as their English colleagues?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

In reply to both parts of the question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the answers which I gave to my hon. Friend the Member for the Bridgeton Division of Glasgow on 3rd June.
