HC Deb 10 June 1913 vol 53 c1420
35. Captain WARING

asked the Secretary for Scotland whether he is aware that an applicant for the resumption of his holding in Gamrie parish, Banffshire, is suffering hardship owing to his inability to get his case dealt with by the Land Court; that he is unable to get entry to his farm; that his cattle have to be boarded out and his implements are lying about; whether he is aware that it has been stated that the Land Court will not deal with the case for the reason that insufficient notice has been given to the tenant in possession to quit the holding; and whether, in view of the fact that the tenant in question was given notice a year before Whit Sunday, he will state what length of notice it is necessary to give in order to satisfy the officials of the Land Court of its reasonableness?

Mr. McKINNON WOOD

I have no information in regard to the first part of my hon. Friend's question. The case is sub judice in the Land Court; and, in the circumstances, it would not be proper for me to enter into any discussion of the merits.
