HC Deb 05 June 1913 vol 53 c1032
55. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSON

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he has received a resolution passed unanimously at the recent meeting of secretaries of Foresters' courts asking him to provide in the forthcoming National Insurance Act amending Bill that the full sickness benefits, namely 10s. for males and 7s. 6d. for females, be paid to all insured persons under twenty-one, years of age; and, if so, whether he proposes to take any action in the matter?

Mr. MASTERMAN

The answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative; with regard to the second part, I have nothing to add to the answer which I gave to the hon. Member on the 3rd instant. The cost to the taxpayer is estimated at about £275,000.
