Mr. MAURICE HEALYasked the Postmaster-General whether, in making the promotions coming into effect on the 1st proximo on the postal side of the Cork post office, he will take care that the claims of the senior qualified officers will receive the consideration due to them, and take care that no injustice is done to these officers; and whether the surveyor of the district will be instructed to make personal inquiry into the case of each officer concerned?
§ Mr. HERBERT SAMUELIn this, as in all cases of promotion in the Post Office, the claims and qualifications of all the eligible officers will receive full consideration. The surveyor makes the recommendation for promotion after reviewing the Qualifications of all the officers concerned.
