§ Mr. WEDGWOOD BENN (Lord of the Treasury)Several conferences have taken place between the representatives of the London County Council, the Westminster City Council, and the First Commissioner of Works. They have agreed to a scheme which meets with the First Commissioner's approval, and His Majesty's Government has undertaken to contribute one-third of the necessary cost. The scheme and proposed architectural design will shortly be submitted to the two local authorities for their consideration and approval. The First Commissioner hopes to be able to place a model of the proposed design in the Tea Room at an early date.
