§ Mr. RAMSAY MACDONALDI beg to ask the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade a question, of which I have given him private notice, namely: Whether he has anything to communicate to the House with regard to the strike in Leith, more particularly in regard to attempts at conciliation?
Mr. ROBERTSONI regret that I am unable to make any statement at present as to a settlement of the dispute by conciliation, but our representative is making a very careful inquiry into the matter, and we shall be glad to use our good offices at the earliest moment at which they can be of any use.
