HC Deb 17 July 1913 vol 55 cc1583-4

Order for Committee read.

Sir FREDERICK BANBURY

I object.

The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. McKinnon Wood)

May I appeal to the hon. Baronet to allow this Motion to go through.

Sir F. BANBURY

The Government have the whole time of the House. They should put these things down when they can be discussed. Only a night or so ago the Chief Secretary for Ireland wanted the same thing. Is every Minister in charge of a department to come down and want to take something after Eleven o'clock because it suits him 1 No doubt this is an excellent measure. I do not object to it, but it must be put down at a time when it can be discussed.

Committee deferred till to-morrow (Friday).
