§ Order for Committee read.
§ Sir FREDERICK BANBURYI object.
The SECRETARY for SCOTLAND (Mr. McKinnon Wood)May I appeal to the hon. Baronet to allow this Motion to go through.
§ Sir F. BANBURYThe Government have the whole time of the House. They should put these things down when they can be discussed. Only a night or so ago the Chief Secretary for Ireland wanted the same thing. Is every Minister in charge of a department to come down and want to take something after Eleven o'clock because it suits him 1 No doubt this is an excellent measure. I do not object to it, but it must be put down at a time when it can be discussed.
Committee deferred till to-morrow (Friday).
