§ 33. Mr. GODFREY LOCKER-LAMPSONasked the Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that there is some confusion in the practice of approved societies in respect of Sunday counting as one of the three waiting days for sickness benefit; and whether he will make a plain statement on the subject and have it circulated to approved societies?
§ Mr. MASTERMANI informed the hon. Member for the Wilton Division on Thursday last that I was aware that some difficulties have arisen in connection with the application of Section 8 (1) (c) of the National Insurance Act, and that if he would suggest an Amendment which he thinks would meet these difficulties, it would receive careful consideration. I do not consider that any circular to societies is desirable at the moment.
