§ Mr. ACLANDThere has lately been considerable unrest in Oman which has now come to a head, the safety of Muscat itself being threatened. His Majesty's ships "Philomel" and "Odin" are at Muscat and His Majesty's ship "Pelorus" was expected to arrive there on the 6th instant. A detachment of the 2nd Rajputs has proceeded to Muscat, but men will not be disembarked except in emergency.
