§ 45. Mr. JAMES HOGGEasked the Prime Minister whether he has observed that the first of the two days promised for the discussion of the Scottish Estimates 1869 was interfered with by a Private Bill being put down at 8.15, and the discussion of the second Vote, dealing with the Land Court, rendered abortive by the fact that the Report of the same was not generally available at the Vote Office; and whether, in those circumstances, he proposes to give more than one other day to Scottish Estimates?
§ The PRIME MINISTERI understand that the Private Bill only occupied half an hour, and that the Report of the Land Court was available on the day before the Vote was discussed. We have promised to give another day for Scottish Estimates.
§ The PRIME MINISTERI cannot at present.
§ Mr. KINGWill it include the salary for the Secretary for Scotland, so that we can cover the whole ground?
